We run a very traditional and unique business that blends warm hospitality and comfort. You can see, just by looking at our hotel, how many structural changes our business has undergone.

A small mountain lake, at 1,680 metres above sea level, nestles under the impressive rock face of the Porze. For me, this is the most beautiful place on earth on any day and in any season.

Dumplings are a popular dish in Tyrolean cuisine. They have been cooked to feed the many hungry mouths in large families for years. This traditional dish still enjoys great popularity today.

When darkness falls, an inconspicuous man can be seen doing his rounds in Obertilliach.
He is dressed in a warm loden coat and hat, holding his halberd and lantern firmly in his hands. If you ask the 600 inhabitants of the villages, they all know exactly who you are talking about. Austria’s last remaining night watchman!

Ever since starting the business, Sabine and Andreas have dedicated all their time, effort and energy to the continued existence and further development of the hotel.

Tyrolean dumplings

There is no doubt that my mum Sabine makes the best dumplings. When she wields the wooden spoon, the finest ingredients are always used.

Night watchman

The night watchman made it his business to allow the people to sleep peacefully at night and kept watch over “fire and light”.

Romantic suite

The two-floor Romantic suite is approximately 85 m² and is designed for up to 2 adults and 4 children. It features 2 separate sleeping areas and a fully equipped kitchen.

Wooden Suite

The special wooden suite with approx. 35 m² is for max. 2 adults and 2 children and disposes of a big sleeping room with double bed, freestanding bathtub and a fully equipped kitchen.

Budget price double room

The budget price double room with approx. 19 m² is for max. 2 adults and has a shower or bathtub and balcony or terrace.

Holiday house

The holiday house beside the hotel with approx. 120 m² is available for max. 10 persons and disposes 4 sleeping rooms, 2 bath rooms, appointed kitchen and living room, balcony, TV and telephone.
